Since we are at the end of November and Thanksgiving has come and gone, I thought I would share the decorations I have on or dining room table (soon to be replaced with Christmas decor).

Having the long weekend, I've been spending a lot of time scrapbooking again. Stay tuned-tomorrow is scrapbook Sunday and the last Photo-a-Day post (I can't believe I actually made it through the whole month!).

I'm not usually one to go out and fight the crowds on Black Friday, but I did go to Michael's, A.C. Moore and one of the local scrapbook stores today. Now I know the intent of Black Friday is to get a jump start on your Christmas shopping and not buy things for yourself, but I couldn't resist the amazing deals I got. I bought four cartridges for my Cricut die cutting machine for just $29.99 a piece (normally $89.99) and the best deal of the day - I bought two alphabet sets for my Quikutz tool for just $9.99 each (normal $129.99). Now I know the math is simple here, people, but I just have to lay it out - I saved $480 today! Woo Hoo! Merry Christmas to me! :o)

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!!

Instead of cooking this year, we had a nice buffet lunch at Red Rocks Cafe.

And since it was absolutely beautiful here today, it was perfect weather for a walk with the puppy in the neighborhood.

And, yes, that is Del wearing shorts on Thanksgiving Day! It was 64 degrees here today.

Day 25 - The Diet Coke Enterprise. I saw these at a festival I went to earlier this year and finally got around to ordering one for Del. (He doesn't look too happy in the picture because he hasn't been feeling well today, but he did say he liked it! :o)

Day 26 - The next picture is not a happy one...and it has taken me a couple days to post this because I wasn't over the shock and disappointment until now. Sunday I was in my scrapbooking room when I hear Del say from downstairs..."Ohhhhh Nooooo!.....Tammy, you need to come down here." Of course, I go into panic mode and think Maggie did something to Chalupa, but it wasn't Chalupa.....it was our area rug.....a $1500 area rug, obliterated in a matter of a few minutes. As you can see, she feels really badly about it! (Not!!)

I guess it could have been worse...it could have been one of our cherry wood tables....or even worse...it could have been Chalupa.

And she is just too darn cute to stay mad at....

Oh the joys of puppy parenthood.

The traffic I was sitting in on the way home in the rain.

And Maggie at the door at the vets office, waiting for the doctor to come in and look at her eyes - which have been red and matting for several weeks now. The doctor said nothing major is wrong, just some irritations.

Day 21 - "Momma will you PLEASE play with me?"

Day 22 - We woke up this morning to a 23 degree temperature, and since our neighbor waters his lawn every day (even though we are still on water restrictions and only supposed to water on Monday's), the sidwalk this morning in front of his house was literally, a sheet of ice. Quite the surprise to Maggie when she tried to walk on it. :o)

Photo a Day - Day 19 & 20

Day 19 - A lemon dessert (graham cracker crust, lemon jello, evaporated milk with some sugar) I made for a Thanksgiving potluck at work. This is my all time favorite dessert. Apparently, others liked it, too, since I had no leftovers to bring home (which was actually kind of a bummer!)

Day 20 - I know this has been the case for some of you for a little while, but it was just this week our gas prices finally dipped below that $2.00 mark! Yeah!!

I had to work late last night so didn't get a chance to post the photo of the day, so you get two today.

Day 17 - Maggie looking out our guest bedroom window out on the golf course.

And Day 18 - In honor of our seven year anniversary....(You gotta love self portrait mode...it really flatters the fair skinned, don't you think? Wow, a double chin, even! And I still actually posted this - amazing!!)

The leaves are falling fast, but there are a few vivid ones hanging on. We found these driving out of the subdivision where our lot is. The view from our lot was amazing today - extremely clear - you could see for miles and miles.

I didn't actually take this picture today, obviously, but wanted to honor my big brother on his birthday!

And just for good measure, to pay tribute to the crazy, loveable brother he is, I'm posting a second picture...(which I'm sure he is going to love me for - as will my new brother-in-law, Brian).

Whenever we get back from taking her for a walk, Maggie wants to go for a car ride. So, this is her anticipating us opening the car door for her to go for a car ride. It doesn't matter how long or how short the ride is....she LOVES car rides.

This is the place I eat a lot of my lunches (a salad from the salad bar at Harris Teeter - a grocery store here in the Carolina's, that actually has a great salad bar) - my desk at work. Yes, I was checking my personal email at lunch today!

So I missed posting yesterday's photo of the day due to a late night....I was at a Stampin' Up party making these (Photo a Day - Day 10)...some of you will be getting these in about a month, so don't look too closely. :o)

The name of our street at the cabin lot. Our cabin (whenever we actually get it built) will be on Pepperwood. I didn't like it at first, but it is growning on me.

While we are on the subject of routines...this is Del's breakfast place every morning...and mine on the weekends. Every Saturday and Sunday we get two egg and cheese on everything bagels and one plain bagel with cream cheese with two Diet Cokes. While we eat our breakfast we are reading the paper or the latest issues of our favorite magazines (Tammy's - scrapbooking magazines, Del's - Log Cabin magazines).

This is just a look into a daily routine of mine. Just like Del goes to Bruegger's every morning, I go to McDonald's and order an Egg McMuffin (no meat) and a medium Diet Coke.
