Happy New Year!

Of course, with the holidays, quite a bit has happened since my last post and I have a lot of pictures to share.
First things first...I can now post those projects I was working on for Christmas gifts. I made an album for my sister's wedding pictures. The entire album can be viewed by clicking here.

I also made a chipboard Family album for Anna, my mother-in-law. Completed project can be viewed here.

And I made a Friend chipboard album for my friend, Karie. Completed project can be viewed here.

The holidays came and went this year with us spending time with friends and family back in Ohio.

It was fun to have all the little ones at the Waganfeald Christmas again.

Del got me a Wii for Christmas. I womped on him in bowling (how could I not with such form??), but we were pretty well matched in golf. The children were perfectly content just watching from the grandstands.

And although I've been extremely sick with a cold, Del scored some Charlotte Bobcat tickets from the Chairman of his company for this past Tuesday night. Yes - we are sitting on the floor! Amazing seats - very cool!

And just because.....

Chalupa tolerating Maggie again.

And a rose from a bouquet Del bought me before Christmas that is still hanging on.

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a safe New Year's.
See you tomorrow for Flashback Friday!

Fun Times

A lot has happened in a week's time. Del has been sick pretty much all week (at least since Wednesday) with a fever and sore throat. And today, his left eye has started matting and is extremeley red. He's been so sick he actually agreed to go to Urgent Care with no resistance. They have no idea what he has, but they do know that it is not strep throat. Whatever it is, it is really dragging him down, much to his dismay. It was absolutely gorgeous here this weekend for our three day weekend, and he was not able to golf once. You know he must be really sick, if it keeps him from golfing!!

It has been a week since April and Jake's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and the weather held out nicely for it. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the event.
Great Uncle Del having a raspberry contest with baby Jesse...

A perfect shot of April...
And the happy couple...

In other events...I went to the White Water Center here in Charlotte with a couple of girls from work on Saturday to experience the Climb 2 Zip. I was very excited to do this. Let me tell you...it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. The falling from the 32 foot platform with only a rope and a harness holding you in was not the hard part, either...
It was the climb up the 32 foot pole that was the scariest...
But I ended up doing it twice and it was so well worth it. Thanks Jennifer for suggesting us to go. I had a blast and I'm so proud of us!!
(Don't you just love the hats?!?)

Maggie Update

So our Maggie went from feeling like this on Friday night...

To pretty much feeling like herself and enjoying one of her favorite treats (rawhide with peanut butter) by Sunday.

And as we suspected, we are having a heck of a time trying to keep her "quiet and calm."

Maggie sends her best wishes to her favorite cousin back in Ohio. Hope you're feeling back to yourself soon, too, Lily!

In other events this weekend...while Del was on puppy duty, I went to my good friend, Lorissa, son's, first birthday party. As you can see, Jason had no reservations in digging into his very own cake...

His older sister, Rachel, even got into the action a little by getting some on her nose and cheeks.
Happy Birthday, Jason!

Another successful scrapbooking convention

It was so great having Karie come with me this year to the CKC - Charlotte. Here are a few pictures from our weekend.

Karie is hoping to make this an annual event, which is OK by me. I plan to attend every year and I couldn't ask for anything better than having one of my best friends join me every year.
Thanks, Karie, for a great weekend!!! I look forward to next year's event! (Anyone care to join us?)
